In the youth
The Jugendbildungsstätte Unterfranken (Youth Education Centre in Lower Frankonia) is an organisation, working on migration pedagogy and racism criticism. We offer diverse facets of youth work- it especially supports youth groups, social institutions and school classes in their process of intercultural opening. It offers practice in civil of one’s conviction. In the international context the Jubi supports international youth exchanges under racism critical perspective and communicates through its own offers and in cooperation with other experienced organisations advanced practice to key competences.
We are organising projects for and with young people as well as training programmes for multipliers in the youth work, we cooperate also with schools and many youth organisations.
The slogan of the house is the ‚powered by migration’ because we practice the idea of the racism critical migration pedagogy.
The 5 pillars of the Youth Education Centre are working on the variety (‚inclusive‘) and against the threat of diversity (‚courageous’) is only dealing with two sides of the same coin. This work can not be performed within narrow limits or even thought nationalities (‚borderless‘). One needs the confrontation and wide development (‚qualified‘) and it requires the work in networks (‚linked‘).
There are seven pedagogues working on the five departments in the pedagogical team of the Centre (employed in the centre). Additionally we cooperate with external trainers and pedagogues.
We have 96 beds in private, double and bigger rooms. There is a canteen providing breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee breaks in the centre, as well as a cafeteria and free time facilities. We have 7 seminar rooms (hosting groups of 10 till 80 people) and a conference hall (for max. 280 people).
Therefore, are available:
- 8 modern seminar rooms (with the appropriate technical support)
- from 15 to 150 people,
- lodging (96 beds),
- board (canteen, coffee breaks),
- common rooms with free time facilities,
- reception.
